We know trends come and go, so sometimes it’s really just best to pass on that $1,000 cow print dress you’re lusting over at Neiman Marcus and find it’s less expensive cousin. Here are my favorite “trends” picks for fall – and where to find them!
Leather
Leather is a trend – but also a staple. It is always around for fall because of its durability, warmth, and elevation to any outfit. The soft touch and feel is what people love most. Wear it as separate pieces, or wear it head-to-toe, you will certainly look trendy and opulent.

Crocodile
It’s a no brainer that real crocodile is expensive. Like, really expensive. Luckily, the trend is going bananas and you can find mock-croc all over the place. My favorite stores to find high-quality mock-croc are ASOS, Mango, Zara, and Topshop. I have pieces from several years ago that I still wear and love.

Leopard Print
Call it leopard, call it cheetah, we all know what youre talking about. The print is BIG and I personally don’t know a single person who doesn’t one at least one piece of clothing that has this print. Leopard is tres chic, and is an instant way to uplift any outfit. Truly, any.

Power Suit
You don’t need to be the next Hillary Clinton to wear a suit – but you can certainly look the part in a good suit. Do not fret, your suit doesn’t need to be tailored or form-fitting. The latest styles are slouchy. This means added comfort – yay! So wear them loose and baggy, people comfort is on your side this season.

Snakeskin
Snakeskin was popular last year, and it returns again this year. The print is so versatile and can be paired with anything. Play it safe and stick to the natural gray/white/black print, or up the ante and play around with pink, neon, and green colors.

Puff Sleeves
Remember when we were younger and made fun of the 80s and their puff sleeves? I think we can all swallow our words now! Puff sleeves have made a huge comeback, and they’re not leaving. We had fun with them in the summer months, and the fun is continuing into fall!

Nontraditional Plaid
What is fall without plaid? Whether you like it or hate it, it comes back every year – but likes to reinvent itself. Here are some new ways to try plaid. Do you dare?
