This idea that perfection exists is a death trap and can destroy your mental health. Think about it: when you look at someone’s social media feed and they seem so happy, so successful, and so perfect, it makes you feel like you’re not as good as them. It takes a toll on your self-esteem and can lead to low mood or depression.
We all do it: We compare ourselves to others we see online whether they’re in our friend groups or even celebrities that we follow on Instagram.
